It can feel like there are a lot of barriers to exercising – paying for a gym membership, buying exercise clothes (and why are they so expensive if you’re just going to sweat in them!), bad weather, and, for some of us, the worry that people could be staring as we struggle with our routine.
But exercise is important. To get past these obstacles, I subscribe to a few FREE fitness channels on YouTube.
The variety of the workouts in these channels makes it so that I can exercise at home without getting bored of the same workout over and over again.
And when I exercise at home – no one cares what I look like!

Workout by Walking at Home
Yes, walk at home. And it’s surprisingly super fun!
My favorite is 1. Leslie Sansone’s Walk at Home channel. Leslie is very positive and upbeat and, no matter your fitness level, her walking workouts are fun.
A mile walk takes less than 15 minutes. And don’t forget to wear your fitness tracker – steps at home count too!
Fitness Channels with a Variety of Workouts
4. Cosmo Body has a variety of videos on dance, strength training, yoga, etc. I have the attention span of a flea and only do shorter workouts. But many of them will kick your butt in a few short minutes.
5. PopSugar Fitness has a lot of fun workouts too. Some of their workouts are a bit longer than I like, but they’re great on days that I have more time. They also have playlists organized by workout length.
